Great banner Asa!
Prudence, indeed, will dictate that Governments long established should not be changed for light and transient causes; and accordingly all experience hath shewn, that mankind are more disposed to suffer, while evils are sufferable, than to right themselves by abolishing the forms to which they are accustomed.

Perfect shot Asa!

Beautiful beetle, I think I see them on goldenrod. I hope they aren't a huge pest to the locust.
Great pic!

Thanks, all. Seemed to be the perfect size/shape for the constraints of a banner. Not sure what it was doing on the sunflower. Like Sally mentioned, they're normally on the goldenrod.

It's one of several/many that seems to have evolved to look like a wasp or bee. I suppose to deter predators.

The contrast in focus between the sunflower and the Locust Borer Beetle is just striking. Fantastic shot Asa! Lovey dubby
