I have completely re-written how the raffles work at ATP. They are now based out of the Gardening Ideas feature, to take advantage of all the benefits of that feature.

1) Raffles are now more prominently visible on the homepage, in the newsletter, and elsewhere.

2) The raffle ticket buying system is now directly embedded within the idea posting.

3) You can now post comments about a raffle. Prior to this, we didn't have a dedicated place for raffles to be discussed.

4) We can now announce the winner right inside the article, rather than in a separate place.

5) Raffles can now be archived in one place, and later can be revisited to reminisce on the past raffles. In the past, when a raffle was done, all the information and discussion about it was essentially lost or scattered through the various forums.

I think all in all, this is a nice reworking of a great feature.

I would love to post to the one I won. The gorgeous daylily painting by Sharon. I have had so many comments on how beautiful it is.

Unfortunately, the past raffles only exist under the threads that were originally created for them in this forum. In the case of Sharon's raffle, those threads are:
