We have been known to have snow as early as September,
followed by Indian Summer, then up and down from there.
But generally it is probably the last couple of weeks of October when we really get our first real snow.
My rememberer is somewhat faulty
A hard freeze can be as late as January, but that is not the norm.

|Just remember, if there is moisture in the soil, just a little ways in, don't water again. But as dry and hot as it is there, it probably sucks all the moisture out of the container.|
