Hazelcrestmikeb said:The only companies that I have seen selling his plants are Gilbert Wild, Brecks and Roots And Rhizomes. He is in the Netherlands which explains why his plants are hard to come by. I have a few of his plants but not the one that you are looking for Sad

I quit ordering from Gilbert Wild, they send incorrect items and they don't refund/replace without a hassle if at all. I spend way too much money and time on my garden to put up with tiny plant starts that take 2 years to bloom and then are not right and have to deal with bad customer service. If a person is just starting out and wants to buy some color affordably and not care about what they are, they can be an okay place to order from.

Sorry that lead didn't pan out, Marcia.

While doing some more searching for 'Exploded Pumpkin', I found this amusing article about daylilies written by horticulturalist Daniel Mounts of MountsGarden.com. He specifically mentions 'Exploded Pumpkin' and I loved reading it. Thought you might too.

Here is his website where he has other articles about other plants.

Thanks again Vickie, the article was cute. I agree it might be a monster being a 6" very double bloom but I already have a marker with it's name on it. Whistling Rolling on the floor laughing Rolling on the floor laughing
Also read his article on Daphnes I like them. I had Carol Mackie for a few years before we redid the deck and my son trounced all over it. Can't find them around here very often, but kept his favs in case I ever run into them. Thumbs up

Glad you enjoyed the article, Marcia. I know all about having a marker for a daylily. I lost Nell Dean and Spacecoast Raspberry Mist and had really nice markers for them, so I just had to buy them again!

With snow on the ground there aren't any daylilies I want for last spring.
