When you do start the new thread, repost this photo but also post some closeup photos and tell us where the tree is located.

Hi thejfriz, Welcome!

I don't know the identity of those lovely trees but it will help if you can post some additional photos, showing a closer view of the leaves and also the bark. Can you also tell us where they are growing; what city, part of the world, etc.

I didn't get a notification but, unless you copied and pasted my name, you assumed the last letter was a lower case L. Its actually an I (eye).

Possibly Robinia pseudoacacia 'Tortuosa'.. but without pictures of the leaves, I can't be sure.

You don't get thread watcher notifications on the Home page that a new post has been added to a thread you participated in? I'm not talking about System messages. New posts don't go to System messages.
Not sure what you mean by the second part of your post in relation to this thread. Confused

Myself, being in a northerly cold climate, this was my thought, too. But since we have no idea where in the world the trees are, and without close ups of leaves/branches/flowers, there are many more candidates that fit the profile. There is no way of knowing.

It may be tacky to do so, but so many people scatter their ID requests far and wide across the web - and I don't have the time to repeat post.

Here is a link to the exact same request, but which had a bit more information from which to make an ID stab. I have had some fun with it...

Instead of street view, here are some images from a reasonable facsimile location, in September 2007.
