All very nice, I noticed that Grace and Charm has some MTB in it's background.

Another group of seedlings out of Haunted Heart.

16T-68: (12T-07j X Haunted Heart)

12T-07j
Thumb of 2020-01-27/KentPfeiffer/2eb058

Many of the seedlings were what you'd expect. They looked basically similar to 12T-07j, except with the texture veining and bolder colors Haunted Heart usually gives. Some were a complete surprise, particularly 68m which is a reverse pink amoena with blue (at the end) beards. I really liked that one and took at least a dozen pictures of it. Unfortunately, none of the pictures were very good. Hope to get another shot at it this spring.

They are all so beautiful in color combinations that I love, all pinky, magentaish and purple combos. I love the one that is white with the stripes in the standards too though. I could not begin to choose a favorite!!!

16T-68p is pure magic for my personal taste, but those blue ended beards on 68m are amazing and so is the form. Don't think I've seen a reverse pink amoena that I like more than 68m. Very modern and a joy to look at.

The 16T-78 seedlings do all have reddish beards. That's interesting, I never really noticed before. Maybe because when I think of red beards, other crosses come to mind. Shrug!

16T-24a: Grace and Charm X Livy
Thumb of 2020-01-16/KentPfeiffer/50a1e1
Grace and Charm is a greatly underappreciated iris from a hybridizing standpoint. I wish the falls on 16T-24a were wider at the hafts. Other than that, it is an almost perfect TB. Great branching, high bud count, vigorous growth, long bloom season. It gets all of that from Grace and Charm.

Born This Way might be another iris with real potential for use in hybridizing

Not even sure how to describe the color of the petals of this iris (watermelon pink?), but it's a very pleasing color to me.

The beards on the 1st one are gorgeous. And the last one may be one of the prettiest colors on an Iris I have ever seen.
I think the people who grow Irises are about as special as the flower itself!

Some last random seedlings from the 2016 class.

16T-20g, Haunted Heart X 13T-19g: (I Must Have It x Picture Book)
Thumb of 2020-02-03/KentPfeiffer/f8cffb
Most of the seedlings from this cross were just plain ugly, but 16T-20g was a gem. It is very subtly colored, basically a very pale blue amoena, but I like the maroon haft veining and the flowers are perfectly formed.

16T-64, Frilled to Bits X Born This Way
I kept both of these seedlings, although neither one of them are likely to be introduced. Too many similar named irises already. I'll try to figure out something to do with them.

I don't do a lot of plicata crosses and have kept exactly zero plicata seedlings until now. Just don't have a good eye for them, they all look the same to me. This one might be worth hanging onto.

16T-50n, 12T-40d: (Phantom Ship x Sunset Plaza) X Haunted Heart
Thumb of 2020-02-03/KentPfeiffer/6e3d0c
Not the most attractive flower, but it is sort of a modern version of an old Sass iris called Desert Flower which I've always liked. Don't think I've seen another one.

16T-19f, Haunted Heart X 13T-40f: (Wicked Good x Phantom Ship)
Thumb of 2020-02-03/KentPfeiffer/c6531c
Probably the weirdest seedling I've had, kept it just for that.

16T-16a, Sweetly Sung X Haunted Heart
Thumb of 2020-02-03/KentPfeiffer/935ab0
Nice pink amoena. I'd love to cross it with Emblematic or Magic Mirror if I could get either of them to bloom.

I've been enjoying your work. I especially appreciate that some of your seedings DON'T have the frenzied and flamboyant ruffling so popular in iris nowadays.
(disclaimer -- just stating a personal preference only with the above statement)
Im seeing the authentic iris form in many of your seedlings without the excess ruffles and swoops. I appreciate that.
16T-68m
Interesting approach to a blue bearded pink.
Superlative flower form too. It would be interesting to hang on to, just to see what direction breeding for a blue bearded pink would take you. I know this has been a goal of Tom Johnson and Paul Black for many years.

Keith says amoenas are difficult to get in TBs.
