I'm always amazed at the many and varied talents and interests gardeners pursue beyond gardening.

Most of the roads in and out of Wyoming are closed. The surface streets in town are nearly impassable. Winds are supposed to top out at 70 mph. A great day to go out and get stuck!

Or, I could finish up a Christmas shirt for DH. Besides, everyone knows that naughty feral cats dispense the best sewing advice of all Smiling

I like your helper, Michelle! Here's mine, always willing to offer her opinion of my current project (Vortex afghan for my daughter-in-law...she loves purple).

Beautiful Janine! Both Dahlia and the Vortex-Chioggia afghan! I hope you'll post pictures again as it progresses.

Take care of yourself in the storm. I'm babysitting the outage reporting phone this week, and several communities north of us spent the day without electricity and likely will spend the night that way, too, if the wind doesn't let up. Most people have a back-up plan (a wood stove, for example), but there's always a segment of the population that's vulnerable.

I'm working on late fall cleaning and Christmas shopping. I went out the other night with my son (see photo below). He's 28 going on 5!

The seeds for this swap are all in their respective players zip lock bags. I'm waiting for more envelopes to arrive.

They will definitely be mailed out the day after the last envelope arrives.

My son trying out a toy..lol

Guys are just big kids at hart no matter their age!

I decorated, cleaned off my seed table that is now a wrapping station, lots of online shopping since I hate the stores and trying not to go crazy keeping up with a puppy!

Cute!!! Sven from Frozen Smiling

Ohh, pet and kid pics - I bottle fed these guys after someone yelled for help on Facebook that their momma had been hit by a car.

Had to keep them separate from my existing kitties until they got a clean bill of health from the vet. They've always climbed all over my legs and like to nap there if I sit down. That's 2 of them in my profile pic.

Four years old now - sitting back and reading a book, my legs are under there. (ack, storm here and the current pic keeps not loading)

Remember, it is dangerous to the environment and ILLEGAL in MANY states (CA is one) to mail plants/bulbs/cuttings in. Let’s all practice Do No Harm while we walk this earth and find other ways to connect to one another through gardening.

Mrs B. - Love the fabric!

Janine - Beautiful afghan. I bought and started this pattern for "clog socks" - liners that fit Crocs. First pass and the sole came out gigantic, have to frog and start over. She'd said crochet loose so they lie flat, but I guess I took that too far. A few others mentioned getting the sole wrong, I thought that meant they didn't know what they were doing. Hah! If I get them right, they'll be perfect winter slippers - nice hard sole if I have to step out, cushy rubber sole and warm for inside. https://cobblerscabin.wordpres... or Ravelry https://www.ravelry.com/patter...

Bless you Maggie! There aren't many things in life that are better than being cuddled by a kitty -- but four at a time? Heaven on earth Lovey dubby (Our feral cat doesn't do the snuggle thing [one of the reasons she wasn't getting adopted], though she does like to be petted.)

Hilarious! Rolling on the floor laughing It's not quite the same, but I can't even remember the number of times I've ignored a step in a pattern only to discover three steps later why said step was important *Blush*

We run a dogsitting service. So between organizing my seed box, I'm yelling at someone to "get off the seeds", "don't put that in your mouth", "stop jumping up here" or some such.

We hosted Thanksgiving again this year and I've been organizing my seed boxes as well. With all the baking and planning going on with it, I forgot school LOL Luckily I have one more chapter to do, one test and the Final so tomorrow I will be a busy bee but it seems do-able!

I also need to organize for the other swaps, including the Secret Santa Swap and figure out who I'm sending too...I feel behind the 8 ball on that one this year D'Oh!

Also, to all of you with little ones or pets, you have your hands full! Our puppy is a year old this year and she still gets into so much trouble Hilarious!

'Sounds like Okie and Michael have it pretty good with their fur pals (including the "borrowed" ones) Smiling Good luck Michael on your last chapter, test and final!

Not that I want to stir the pot...but that's two posts in a row that mentioned organizing seed boxes. I did a bit of that a week or so ago (actually, I did it all night because the SSE deadline was looming), and DH suggested my hobby has turned into an obsession Confused Shrug!

I had eleventy thousand people over for Thanksgiving, so I feel like I've been running around for weeks. I still have seeds to enter for DND's swap but today is the first day I looked around and went, oh thank goodness, I can sit down! And promptly fell asleep for three hours! 😱

I too have plenty of seed organizing to do. My previous organization system is not particularly functional once it comes time to plant - I end up with half my seeds strewn around and then I go, oh no! Seeds cannot be strewn, they must be sealed up in bags with desiccant! And then I have random seeds in random bags. I pick them up, make the 🤔 face for a while, then give up and put them down to deal with them another time.

THE TIME COMETH.

Especially since I took advantage of the Chiltern black Friday sale to get some unusual seeds, tra la la.

But I also have to get ready for eleventy thousand people in my house for Christmas. It all comes WAY faster than I think it will.

And somewhere in there, I want to start perennials, restart my Aerogardens (if I hurry I can get some fast growing lettuce for Christmas dinner maybe), something something something oh no I need another nap. Good thing it's past my bedtime. 🤔
