A recent post reminded me that your seeds in the fridge can start to mold... best to check once a week or more... This had totally slipped my mind... so i went thru every pack... luckily I only had two packs with any moldy seeds.... one pack had 1 seed that had turned (out of 6)... and the other had 3 seeds that had turned (out of 106)... i did a diluted (but strong) peroxide 10 minute dip of all remaining seeds in those two envelopes, discarded their baggies and repackaged... Not bad, considering my fridge seed bin is packed to the gills... ![]() You Gotta Stand It. |

I did find some bad seeds. Mostly from ones that were pollenated by the bees and some that were picked a tiny bit early because the cold weather was here and I didn't want to deal with it anymore. Playing with the seeds made me want to start planting but I will hold off until February. That's long enough to be tending them until they can go outside. And there's the next problem...WHERE will I plant them???? These addictions seem to make your common sense go out the window. ![]() |
