Home depot did not have anything i would consider special. Did see alot of annual type plants. Saw marigolds, torenia, and some pentas. I was surprised to still see zinnias.

Krogers is still getting in annuals and perennials. I saw some very nice zinnias and coleus there, but who would buy them this time of the year? Well, the answer is folks who don't know they will die with the first hard frost! Beginning gardeners lose a lot of money that way because they don't know any better. And then there's my beef against Lowe's, who sells perennials totally unsuited to my zone.

I have noticed a lot of people buying coconut palms in my area, those wont survive anymore than 3 months, 6 months at best in this country.

Visited a mum farm today, they supply most of the big box stores in this area. Labels are already on the pots with retail prices. I get them directly for a small fraction of the price.

Home depot as a lot of multipacks of small plants. They did have four colors of penta. Nothing really stood out. Lowe's had gaillardia, Porter weed and celosia. I liked the celosias. Nothing stood out though as special, or made me go wow.
