Hi Everyone, Happy New Year!

Since there wasn't one of these threads for 2020 I thought I'd just add one, with a reminder that this weekend is the Sarasota Orchid Show/Sale at the Municipal Auditorium! Hope I see some of you...

Thanks Bill, but I had nothing to do with creating the poster itself....it was challenging enough just trying to get a 'clickable' version into a post! Hilarious!

The show organizer put in some nice amenities this year including a very nice bar ( which we took advantage of)... and that may explain why my buying shoes spontaneously combusted today... here's what I ended up with.

Oh boy! I am so jealous! The Tamiami Orchid Festival. I really looked forward to that one every January.
I would visit H & R, Bredren Orchids and Hamlyn Orchids faithfully.
What a great day that was!

Simply gorgeous!
Seemed like everything was on exhibit from A to Z and back again.

My favorite out of everything was, or is, the Trisetella hoejeri. In flower within that exhibit, it looks like a flock of cranes or egrets!!
And what in the world is that maroon globular flower within the last two images or so. I think that I have seen that before and my brain wheel is spinning trying to remember what that is. My memory just continues to spin and leak oil! Rolling on the floor laughing

I don't think the plant labeled Dendrobium numaldeorii is correctly labeled. I thought it was a Dendrochilum, perhaps cobbianum.

Bill, Platystele umbellata! Cute, right? I had one years ago, lost it one Summer. When I spotted one at Andy's booth, I had to pick it up. I hope mine does as nicely as the plant on display!
The Trisetella caught my attention too, just the way it displayed was adorable. Chinese pagodas?
