I am so sorry to hear that you have been sick for awhile, Gerry! I hope that your health will continue to improve as the weather gets warmer. This has been a very nasty year for the flu. Looking forward to see your seedlings, Gerry.

Thank you, Karen.

Thank you, Robin.

I look forward to germination and data collection. This is exciting!

I also look forward to examine new growth and flowering of 2019 first time bloomers which were outstanding.

Some from the 2019 group did not bloom and I look forward to their first blooms.

I am also anxious to see if there will be any blooms from the seedlings that I germinated and planted in 2019!

I am getting really excited, too, in anticipation of the daylily season. So much to look forward to Hurray!

Last year I suffered with three sinus infections, before we finally hit on an antibiotic to clear it up. Luckily, I did not have any side effects from the antibiotics. I was feeling miserable from March through mid August last year, so I am looking for to this season, for sure.

Dennis and Gerry, I am glad to hear that the both of you are coming along nicely. Last year around this time I was in
the hospital with pneumonia. I am due to go back to the doctor this spring for my second pneumonia shot. On the bright side you both will be at full speed when the warmer temps get here Hurray! Wishing us all a happy healthy gardening season.

I am curious if anyone starts their daylily seed in raised beds? If you do, what time is best? Here our last freeze day is April 20th but I have seen it go past a bit.

I planted many of my seeds in pots last fall and several germinated and then must have frozen. I had almost a total crop failure. Angry Live and learn I guess.

Hi Teresa. I have started daylily seeds in a raised bed, outdoors, in sept. Planted about two inches deep, two inches apart. They will come up in the spring. Not a great germination rate, maybe 70% . Had talk with Mort Morss of Daylily World about starting seeds, they had started some this way.

Teresa, since you are in KY, and the weather is warmer than usual, start some outdoors. Make this a science project. At the same time, start them in other ways.

If you are short on seeds, I will send you some to try out.

That was an excellent video, really enjoyed it. This year I skipped the lights and indoor growing all together and planted my daylily seedlings outside, what a difference it is making. Already getting scapes on some of the plants. Of course I don't expect winters this mild...but who knows it may be the trend. I took a chance based on how the winter started off and by the predictions I had seen, and it paid off...unusual for the weather predictions to actually be correct.
