What a quick month, January was, Ursula.

You (as usual) have a great show going in your solarium.

The Epi. Moira Balley is very pretty, kind of dainty. Very nice.
Paphiopedilum spicerianum is a great specimen. I have two underlights and hope I see a bloom at some point.
The Orange Nugget is also very pretty! I do not think that a month has started any more beautiful then February!!!!

Yes, I was thinking the same just now, Ken - January always flies by so quickly for me!

Lovely show from Ursula's greenhouse, I'm really admiring that little Epi Miura Valley.

Pouring rain here this morning! A welcome recharge for my rain barrels and the garden is loving it. Supposed to be cool 60's today, and colder but sunny tomorrow. Sighing! Winter in Florida!

Yep, Elaine, we have had rain most of the night and it's supposed to rain most of the day. We are cooling ever so slightly. Our Vero Beach GardenFest is outside, on the island, and started today. I fear that today will be pretty much of a washout. I had planned to go over to the festival tomorrow morning, thinking that the crowd would be less then. Now, everyone will hit the festival tomorrow. Oh well, I'm sure I'll fill my wagon as I did last year.

I'm loving the Paph.

We are still in dull wet winter over here but it hasn't been too cold yet.
I have a variety in bloom atm - all hybrids but pretty none the less. Dendrobium Berry Oda is still producing new spikes, Oncidopsis Nelly Isla is just so beautifully scented, Den Phal Thailand Black has been in flower since October, the two odontoglossum Eurostar and Tahoma Glacier are also producing new growths.
I only have 1 Paph which is NOID but I love him ๐Ÿ˜Š

Very pretty display in your house, Helen! Lovey dubby It surely smells lovely too! Heh, we love hybrids and species alike! Smiling

It is pretty dreary today here too, but not raining yet! I am not complaining, so far the offerings to the Snow gods must have worked, it has been pretty much snowless this Winter. Smiling And it is cosy in the greenhouse! Smiling

A very nice start to February, Ursula.

Ken, a 7 inch orchid from Hausermann is about $43.00 but by the time you add shipping you are close to $60.

Might be worth it to just drive to Deland if they have what you want there.

For Jim, and for me as well, Deland is that far of a drive. And who knows, there might just be one or more orchids there that are calling to you. Whistling

Yeah, going there would definitely be more expensive - with the cost of gas, buying so many more plants . . Hilarious! and having to rent a U-Haul to get them home again.

Haven't been there yet, but it's definitely on my list to go visit EFG nursery.

I was surprised by how little they had in the retail area but there is only one GH open and a significant portion of the plants were tropicals like Anthuriums, Broms and EEs. There were many, many GHs not open to the public and I am sure if one were to order first for pick up the selection would be better.

Deland is a beautiful little college town surrounded by pretty horse farms, it makes for a nice drive.

I think they may be trying to capitalize on the aroid craze I had a friend who went down a couple weeks ago and said they had a lot of 'trendy'plants for sale

I am not taking credit for these, I bought them from Andy's Orchids a couple of weeks ago in spike!
The Pleurothallis ornata didn't drop the buds and keeps on blooming, what a cutie with lots of wiggly spiders.

The Cirrhopetalum sulfureum had a bunch of spikes, but only one made it.

Wonderful start to the month Ursula!
I have a Rth. Fuch's Orange Nugget that's about to burst into bloom..I wonder if it too is related to your orange beauties?
Your new plants from Andy's are adorable Lovey dubby
What a show at your house, Helen...love all the cheery blooms!
Alice, with show season in full swing here in Florida ,it might be slim pickings for in bloom small (reasonably priced) plants, unless you are at a show! Most of the growers I've seen are shipping in Hawaiian grown plants to augment their inventory.
I'm waiting on a bunch of things to open. This cold weather is not helping the cause.

That's a pretty one, Lindsey. Looks like a small plant with big flowers - what a prize!

I'm treasuring the cool weather, in all truth. My family is coming to visit on the 15th and I want my orchids in bloom to last until they get here. Renate is still opening spikes like crazy, but the big C. Tut 'Pop' is pretty much in full stride already and I'm doubtful the blooms will last another 2 weeks. The red is so intense, great Valentine's flowers. But just a week too early.

Ursula what a haul! I will have to hit Andy's up once the shipping weather is better. But I have to say...Ecuagenera USA has some nice and reasonably priced orchids too. I wish they had a pricelist online and availability, not just their Facebook page.

Love the blooms @ursula especially the epidendrum.
Supposed to get up to 55 degrees here in PA today, might be a good day to head to the Orchid Range at Duke Farms near Sommerville NJ.
