Kind of carrot-like in smell and appearance. I have researched Queen Anne's lace, but I don't remember these having any purple flower when grown. They often start out very flat and low to the ground. Thinnish, long white root. Thanks for your help.![]() ... asking because if this thing is edible it is going into the salad from now on |

Filaree / Erodium cicutarium / Stork's bill I don't know if it is edible but herbalists use it for various things. Livestock eats it. The seed has a corkscrew awn that digs into the soil. It can also dig into dog's skin and cause problems. I pull it up whenever I see it on my property. |

Before you start eating it get a definite ID. Let it bloom to know for sure. |
