The sun is out here. So glad I get to garden today. It's bad to be quarantined and not able to do anything outdoor.

Pascali, white hybrid tea, I bought this from Home Depot recently.

Class Act, I never thought I like white color but I do now

SoCal - lovely pictures!! Julia Child is my favorite of your roses!! It has such lovely buds waiting to open! I think my Pinkerbelle is one that has died in my garage...if it doesn't make it...I'd love to see yours in bloom. It was new last year...so it didn't do that much for me.

The rain has been wonderful in southern California and its' not over yet. Very good start for the garden and particularly my roses. Nice, solid growth with shiny, healthy leaves. Fighting the aphids at the moment Crossing Fingers! Just getting some buds now. Had lots of different daffodils, freesia and narcissi and surprise re-blooming of some tulips planted two years ago (not supposed to happen here). Still waiting for the hyacinths.

Golden Celebration has pink freckles. It is next to the birdbath so it gets splashed a lot.

SoCal - I don't think my Pinkerbelle survived. I'm disappointed. But, at least I can see your beautiful pictures of it. Lovey dubby Those are nice big buds on your YL. I would get Arctic Blue if it had fragrance. Unfortunately, it doesn't....but it's sooo pretty!! Thank you for the lovely pictures! Oh, I just saw your 2nd set of recent pictures...your Pinkerbelle looks even more gorgeous!!

Lynnez - that is such a lovely Ambridge Rose!!!! The first picture made me gasp!!

Lola - so nice to see your bounty of Golden Celebrations! So many big blooms!

Thursday some of my roses are going out to the driveway...to be taken out and brought in every day. I'm so excited!!!!!

Whooo Hoooo Carol! Milestone for the first part of spring up in your world.

Lola, I am loving that Golden Celebration. What a beauty!

Lynnez, I have to ask how you like Ambridge's scent?

SoCal, sorry you feel cooped up. Your roses are beautiful!

Well, in-between rain showers and washing my hands, I finally got my plant labels done for the roses and took some pictures. Rain showers just took me back inside as I was out for a nice long walk. I did something new today and asked my Alexa when it was going to rain. She stated in 20 minutes and the showers would last for 10 minutes. She was right!!!! I am shocked and surprised and will be using this new feature in the future.

I was also seeing a lot of snails and slugs in my front beds and yesterday, put down diatomaceous earth. I have never used that before. Today, no slugs and only two snails which were not in the front beds! That appear to be working! Yes!

So, I still have a sense of smell and I took a whiff of Emily (the rose and not a person) yesterday. I have not really known her to have much of a scent if any. Not this year! OMG! What a delicious and wonderful scent she has! It is on the myrrh side but not an (what I consider) awful myrrh scent like Ambridge has. She is much more towards smelling like Brother Cadfael which has my favorite scent of all time. She is next to the Brother so perhaps he is influencing her since I am always commenting on how much I love his scent. Perhaps they have a competition going? Yes, all of my roses have their own unique personalities. In any case, I am thrilled and she has such a beautiful bloom right now. The Brother is not blooming at all so I know I am not smelling him.

Carol, sorry to hear about your Pinkerbelle.

MBN, thank you. The rain is hard for me because I can't go anywhere. I can't even garden.

Anyway, I've been browsing peonies online and did order some last night, I will do some more buying today. This is how I cheer myself up, tune out of those news out there.

Mustbnuts - Thank You! Thank You! Yes, I'm so excited...normally I'd have to wait at least a month before they can go out...but with our dollies...my husband and I can scoot them in and out every day. Not sure how many we're going to schlep in and out. I'd like about 20!! That's a beautiful shot of Emily...especially if you click on it to enlarge it. Lovey dubby

SoCal - Yeah, I'm with you. No gardening here...still snow. We're stuck inside. Sighing! This too will pass. Hang in there. Big Grin
