2 from Titan's Glory x self, and 4 from Let Evening Come x Titan's Glory. Titan's Glory is absolutely beautiful here and is a great garden performer. It is a wonderful parent also. Let Evening Come was my wife's favorite bloom last spring, so I made a cross with it for her.

Two beauties! It will be interesting to see what comes of them! That is similar to one of my crosses...

H ~ I hope to see some in bloom this year, as they were crossed in 2018. Many are growing quite large already, some with PBF and some with increases!

Welcome to the World of Iris Hybridizing both Evelyn and Hybridizer :). Its a wonderful, wacky, disappointing, exhilarating, wondrous pastime. Even with dabbling over the years, i've learned many things both on my own, and by reading the online posts/and AIS bulletin writings of the notaries in the iris world both present and yesteryear. I enjoy researching the parentage of the varieties whose pictures are added to the photo database. Its a great source of no only information but it helps me generate future crossing ideas.

Timothy ~ Thank you! It is really fascinating.

Both of you are lucky to have started when you were/are younger, as I am advanced in age and only have a short time left. Still I will persevere until I am no longer able. No time for boredom here! Thumbs up

Thanks Timothy. I have spent the last year doing research and planning crosses for this year and it has been a wonderful experience. I'm really hoping to get my 5 year old daughter Abigail interested in hybridizing. We were just in the iris gardens and she told me that Early Sunshine is blooming!! Big Grin

We need new hybridizers no matter what your age. Our older ones lead the way, but they want new people coming.
