Iris season, well all of spring actually, started pretty early this year in North Carolina. Going to mix it up a bit this year so you can see all the other things that are blooming with the irises in the Carolinas. I am sure Casey and other fellow Carolinians will have wonderful pictures to add.

My first iris to bloom were a few dwarfs.

First time bloom came from Lili: Thumb of 2020-04-05/Lestv/289c8e

She was worth the wait!

The very first to bloom was Gizmo The Gremlin:

Along with Lili came Yummy Accent:

I also had this cool mini multi-petaled daffodil come up. Anyone know what it is? It came up in my LA iris bed.

I got some new narcissus last fall, and they all did a great job of blooming. I planted Pipit and Golden Echo together because they are opposites in coloration. I think Pipit is just lovely. It open light yellow, then the cup and petal base turn white.

Thanks Hybridizer. I do too. Lili is a Blyth median. I really like the medians he produced but they are hard to find in the US, unlike his tall bearded.

..... speaking of bloom season 2020 -- do you still need a "Dad Gum Nice"? seems i promised you/someone a rhizome of it last year, and was unable to deliver, if i remember due to illness. You had alot of rain in your locale, last year and yours/someone's didn't survive. I've got a small but nice set of increases on my clump.

Thank you Leslie for starting this thread! And inviting me to post my blooms too. I tip my hat to you.

So many lovelies blooming in your garden! I just adore Gizmo and Irish Harp. I've had both at some time, need to find them again. Lilli and Blyth's Rumours went on my wish list too. Lovey dubby

Kedron, Pipit and Golden Echo are so pretty! Your NoID daff may be Erlicheer. Thoughts?

Your cherry tree is so lovely. Thanks for the erlicheer suggestion. Will have to look it up! And try to figure out where it came from!
