I keep thinking of the little goblins who will be Trick or Treating on October 31.... it will STILL be hot! Chocolate candies will melt. Boo HOO!!!!!
I read a bit about what we're supposed to be doing to get the garden ready for the beginning of our Winter Spring.

Sweat and toil in September to ready the weed from Monsoon growth, enhance and amend the soil (dig down 12-18 inches to enhance drainage and root development). Yea, right. My pitch fork will not go further than 3 inches into this clay. Add sulfur to amend sodium accumulation. Before planting add nitrogen and phosphorous. Lightly trim hybrid roses, feed citrus. Take a trip to your favorite nursery and plant the pretties. Water and wait for Winter freeze. I know.

My brain is still ablaze.
My quilting may continue into November before I get out and do some garden work.
You?
