Those trees NEVER go back in the box without you sitting on it, taping it, using bungee cords, twine and even kids if it comes to that. Rolling my eyes. Hilarious!

That's an amazingly long life for an artificial tree, Rj! Blinking (and maybe even more so for the box...)

More so on the box, thought I was finally going to be able to get rid of the box, found a bag for the tree, not big enough!

We have bagged one half of the trees; seems like a good idea but in reality sucks even worse too often.

It is a nippy -7 right now, and it is supposed to get to -10.
Tomorrow has a high of 1 and -8 at night.
I had to run outside as I left some thing in the car, to lazy to put a jacket on, but you know winter weather has arrived. Shrug!

We need snow. 30 degrees below normal and only an inch of snow. Plants need insulation.

Well this Christmas season is like they have been often the past decade.

I was going home early last week to put up the Christmas Tree; got a phone call from my cousin, the heater was not working.
Went home earlier to deal with that, so I did not go out to get a tree. (The toilet bowl upstairs had frozen but oddly the tank did not.)
As it could not be worked on till this Monday, I turned on the heater upstairs and turned on the little kitchen heater, that may or may not stay on.
It was sleeting/snowing the next day, half-way home road was nasty, so I drove back up North in case Sharon needed help.
Brake light came on, on the way home-- Still had soft brakes.

Rear wheel cylinder went out, and I had no intention of doing that my self with the bad weather coming but I should have.
Wheel cylinders-2, and fixing the line without totaly replacing the brake line, (IF I did it myself and the line broke, new line near 200 bucks) cost me 840 dollars; new fan motor in furnace cost me over 400 dollars.

It is snowing right now, approx Two and One-half inches so far, so, tonight I blow snow up here and tomorrow go home to put up a Christmas tree. Sighing!

Right now it is 32 degrees with a 29 mph wind; the stupid weather channel says they wind gives it a "feels like" temp. of 11 degrees.
BS, I wonder of some of these weather experts have EVER been in true 11 degree temps.
Snow is gone, but it has been here today, and gone, tomorrow so often this year I do not miss it lke I do most warm winters, but this winter, so far ties last winter for fewest times since I have had a snowblower, for least use.

Here of late I have been turning the TV to music channels, some thing, I used to do very often ten or more years ago.

Now back then I did not turn on the old top 40 music channel but this time I wanted some music I have not heard in a longl long time so I turned on classic songs of the 60s.
I found it is a good way to be both a bit sad and very happy all at once. I am hearing songs I have , literally, not heard in closer to 65 than 55 years, including some from the early sixties I have probably never heard before.

It brings back many , many wonderful memories of my youth, espcially trips out West to get illegal fireworks with, or withoutl my parents.
I never attached songs to bands like rock and roll addicts did , for some of these (they show pictures of artists) I am finally seeing who did what.

As I said I do not remember some of the early 60s songs and after hearing them, If Ihad not it would not be a loss.
It also seems that 1965-67 were the years that songs, that really , really stuck in my mind, started to hit the air waves.

It is 32 degrees right now, and kinda-sorta very light snowing.

We are supposed to get approx. 2 inches of snow tomorrow bug South and East of here they are said to be getting 6 plus inches.
The worst thing is; with this above average warmth, the plants are going to start doing their spring routine, but in two weeks , we are forecast to have nights of single digit weather.
That will ruin flowering trees and bushes. Grumbling

It is 50 degrees right now, 7:10 P.M. .

I spent my first day outside doing yard work this year, and I was wearing cut-off blue jeans and a T-shirt.
Really too early to rake the yard but the other half was getting snitty about all the spruce cones on the ground.
I was vacuuming them up with a shop vacuum. Sadly, I knew it had seen better days (I bought it when Sears was still doing fairly well) and the motor is making noise that means soon it will to to vacuum heaven.
What is worst, when the Arrows hardware store closed up they had shop vacs on sale fifty percent off.
For what ever reason, I thought I should get one but did not. Grumbling Grumbling Grumbling
I ended up raking them into piles which actually was a LOT quicker, but with the vacuum ai sucked up small debris you cannot get with a rake.

The long range forecast no longer shows sub-zero the last week of March, but it still shows snow could be possible.
I am heading home tomorrow, to get my mail and BS with a friend who comes 40 miles South to work part-time at the local Vo-Tech.
He is getting over 25 dollars an hour for part time work; Blinking more than twice what I made working landscaping. (Actually more than 3 times what I made all but the last years. Shrug! )
Saturday a local Lutheran Church has a fee Breakfast. IF you think that is one of the reason I am going home, you are a very perceptive person.
Have a Happy Stl Patrick's Day! I tip my hat to you.
