Hello, What I am really looking for are plants that stay relatively small such that they grow well in a hanging basket or a pot. Where to buy Hoyas Don't judge each day by the harvest you reap, but by the seeds that you plant. Robert Louis Stevenson |

Willinator, As someone wo=ho gardens by the precepts of Chaos gardening I cannot help with Hoya that stay small and in their containers, other than to suggest these: Hoya curtisii Hoya lacunosa Hoya kanyakumariana Hoya imbricata. And, a place for buying? We are all wanting that....all the best hoya sellers in USA stopped selling within the past decade Award winning beaded art at ceinwin.deviantart.com! |

Hoya carnosa compacta is pretty slow growing, looks great in a hanging basket and can stay in the same pot for years. My own is still in the same pot I put it in when I got it about 4 years ago and I have no plans to repot any time soon!![]() Of course mine was a full 6-inch pot when I got it; those arms are about two feet in length now. Smaller pots and single cuttings are available. But keep in mind that no plant is going to stay 'small' forever unless it's constantly pruned back or divided up. They GROW. It's what they do. As for where to buy them, it's probably easiest to find them online. Local nurseries and garden centers seem to get them only once or twice a year. |

The place I've seen the most Hoyas recently is Etsy. Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and proclaiming...."WOW What a Ride!!" -Mark Frost President: Orchid Society of Northern Nevada Webmaster: osnnv.org |

Ebay always has hoya and Gardinos has them but you have to check Thursday afternoon to get the new listings as they sell quickly. |

I don't know what's been going on in Ohio in the last 6 months (pre-quarantine) but I've found some great Hoya locally. It's so weird. I got a huge australis for $20, 6" pot and 3 ft vines! I know that does NOT fit your requirements, Willinator, I'm just saying don't give up on a nice local find. I all but had and then I found 2-3 nice, big, cheap plants at small local spots. The big boxes are hit or miss for me, like someone else mentioned above. I think it depends on what plant you decide you want. If you know you want a Lacunosa, it's going to be nuts to go to Lowe's every week hoping one will show up. Just order one you like. I'm a bit of a chaos gardener myself, so I can't comment much on the ones that stay small. My kids have to duck under the orchid/Hoya window in the stairway and my husband's dresser was swallowed by a philodendron Congo long ago. |

Steph Hall sells Hoya. https://theplanthall.com/ I've not purchased from her. However, I do creep her site frequently to see if there's something that I can't live without. It costs you nothing to Be Kind 🌱💚 |

Hello Rosie, Well it appears that the Hoyas' are completely sold out at the Plant Hall. Don't judge each day by the harvest you reap, but by the seeds that you plant. Robert Louis Stevenson |
