Stan, I LOVE that Cherokee Star! It's so consistently beautiful for me. Is it me, or is Orange Velvet paler than it usually appears for you? That one's on my.list, but I thought it was a deeper orange.

My repeats for today -

Right off the bat, the flesh/amber (?) blend NOID I've dubbed "Buff Beauty." I finally remembered including some red in the pic could help me get the color right. This one with Scarlet Orbit is pretty much spot-on. It has three 15" scapes and one 21" scape. Lots of buds. 4½" blooms. I'm guessing from the unique color that maybe it's not just some bee-pod seedling but an intentional cross. Anyone grow something like this?

Jared Timothy Bell--This plant has been a bloom machine! However, last week we had 2 days with 40 mph winds and higher gusts. On the first day Jared had 4 blooms open on 3 scapes and on the second day he had 5 blooms open. The intense wind and huge blooms, I think, rocked the plant because it's foliage started to go pale. I don't yet know what will happen. I cut the scapes for good measure!

So far, it's a bi-tone, and it's actually bordered on a deep coral, but I love it!

Way Cool:

It hadn't opened fully when I left this morning, and I forgot to take a pic when I got back. It did fade from the sort of deep rose it was when it first opened.

I got it on last year's early July trip to Lakeview Daylily Farm in Garner. It was one of the HUGE clumps, along with Love Those Eyes and Scarlet Orbit. I got three 2-gal pots out of Scarlet Orbit, two out of Thin Man, and three 4-gal pots out of Love Those Eyes!

Thin Man has had multiple blooms every day since it started. It's in full, blasting sun, and it holds its own completely. I really love it!

Today's most beautiful re-runs. We had very cool temps today, and it's been raining for over 12 hours. Most of today's blooms didn't open fully, so there are only two pics.

A duo of No Strings Attached (previously mis-ID'd as Bali Watercolor). The dark color is more of a peachy mauve, if that makes any sense:
Thumb of 2020-06-17/MrKGDickie/0e3465

Another rainy day, but these reruns still looked good.

Opting Out from Mike Derrow is really growing on me:

Key to My Heart is no longer splotchy, but the crimson center looks more like an eye than the main color of the bloom. It's still kinda pretty, though:
Thumb of 2020-06-18/MrKGDickie/ee67eb

This is the second of two bee-pod seedlings I got from an Instagram daylily buddy. The other is a clear buff color, and this is a rose bi-tone.

Ken, thanks for posting Bali Watercolor! I did not know that its green throat extends that far out. Got some seeds with Bali Watercolor as the pod parent and can't wait to see what its offspring will look like.
