I recently planted the seeds that I took from what I think is a New Mexico Chile a few months ago. At least that's what I thought I planted. These past few days, I've begun to think it's not a pepper because it looks just like the cucumber seedlings that I have. However, I don't have any cucumber seeds so I am very confused on why this looks like a cucumber seedling. Does anyone what this seeding actually is?

We might have to wait until the true leaves develop a bit more to ID it.

Did you use fresh potting mix, or existing soil/mix? Just wondering if this seed might have been in the media to begin with.

It's not fresh, but I've never planted any kind of cucurbits other pumpkins before. I am absolutely sure I didn't stick a big huge pumpkin seed in there. A family member gave me the cucumber seedlings, so I'm pretty sure I didn't accidentally place a cucurbits seed in there either.
