I have a Scent and Sensibilty lilac that I planted about 3 summers ago. The first spring I got lots of blooms. The second spring lots of growth and blooms including a second blooming in the summer. This year, I had lots of buds coming. Then almost everything turned brown and has withered up. Could the frost/snow we had have damaged it? Or do I have a more serious problem. There are a couple of small shoots that are still green.

Welcome!

Yes, it looks like it started to bud out and the weather got it. It will survive but, I don't think you will see flowers until next year.
