Hey there folks!

For this thread I'd like to talk specifically about what crafts/projects we've been doing while in quarantine.

I know a lot of us like crafts, and I'm sure we're getting lots done while stuck at home!

So, let's all get together and share what nice projects we've been getting done!

But, above all, stay safe! Thumbs up

I have been hand piecing some quilt blocks. Haven't decided how many I'll make or what they will become.

KFredenburg, actually that is my landlord's cat Lucy. She spends a lot of her time in my rooms with my two cats.

You know, a weird story comes to mind, since we are talking about cats.

One of our very close friends (a neighbor) had their cat missing for 3 days (they have 6 cats all in all, 3 males and 3 females).

There is this community website/app called "nextdoor" where people post things that are happening in the neighborhood.

So my friend went on there (the website), and found out that someone posted something about her cat.

She told the person that it was her cat, and the person came and dropped it off. It seemed like they really wanted to keep the cat though, and they were being really mean to my friend about giving the cat back.

Then, the same cat went missing again. He eventually came back, and he had a cut on his face.

The same people who had taken the cat came to my friend's door later that day, and said that he (the cat) should be taken to the vet (how would the person know about the cut?).

Now, all three of her male cats are missing (one for almost a month now, one for 2 weeks, and the other for 2 weeks as well).

Not saying that it was this family that was taking the cats, because I have no evidence, but I do find it strange that as soon as this family got involved with my friend's cats they all of the sudden started disappearing.

I've been varnishing and my husband framed the pictures for me.

The first one is a naked lady I found on the Internet by some old master, I painted this for my life painting class, finally got it varnished and hung.

The second one is a painted picture of my vacation photo at Lake Moraine, near Banff, Canada.

I've been working on this one for a few years. I added borders although not shown in this picture. All I have to do is to finish the binding.

I don't know why, but My cat loves quilting fabric.
I'll try to post a picture of it (almost) finished.

Needs ironing on the binding, but you get the idea.

Barbara, that is a wonderful sampler quilt and I love the colors.
I wish we could post videos on here, I have a cute one of my cat 'helping' by rearranging my blocks on the floor.
I've been working on hand piecing some blocks, have six done so far.

The lockdown sure has been good for quilting, holy moly, so good.

Since I have my sewing machine out for masks, I finally sewed up a pair of lightwieght pajama pants from fabric that I cut out ten years ago, from material that I bough 20 years ago. It took maybe an hour. D'Oh! I loved the colors of the fabric when I bought it but could never decide what to make, and am not thrilled with the result but I do need some light weight PJs so what the heck, who really cares what your PJs look like right? Hilarious!
i'm pretty OK today, how are you? ;^)

If you want to order a paint by numbers kit, please read my thread about 'Online scams due to pandemic'... If you are ordering one for yourself, or as a gift for someone, I wouldn't want anyone else to get scammed like I did, and am at my wits end trying to resolve this issue.

I finished fixing one of my painting today, in 6 months I will varnish my naked man.
But during this quarantine, I managed to varnish this painting of mine. Very pleased about how it turned out. Favorite memory of my time in southern France in 2018. La Roque-Gageac.
