Do violets have a poisonous lookalike? I have a lot of what I'm almost certain are violets, but with all of the foreign invasive plants, I don't know if there are any plants that have a violet flower lookalike that is poisonous.

That looks like the Common Blue Violet (Viola sororia) a native wildflower to Eastern North America and the state flower of N.J.

I've heard that Pansy (Viola x wittrockiana) contains mild toxins that affect dogs and cats but I don't know about other Violas.

My back lawn is full of them this year! They are so pretty!
I mowed around them today. I need to enjoy them some more.
