Removed a bush that was crowding an Alberta Spruce. The part of the spruce that was covered by the bush is dead — will it recover now that it has light or is there something I should do?

Welcome!

Sadly, those branches are dead. They won't leaf out again.
Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and proclaiming...."WOW What a Ride!!" -Mark Frost
