Being in northern Ontario we use a small green house. To protect from from frost is it alright to plant in them in early May ? We do tomatoes , green beans , radishes (large) , beets and snow peas and white onions.

I'm thinking it would be ok. What are your nighttime temps right nw? That's the key to whether this would work. And is this the kind of greenhouse that has the glass or composite panels?

I'm not sure what that translates to, around 27 to 30? Colder? I can tell you seedlings need at least 65 to 70 for the seeds to sprout. Unless the greenhouse has supplemental heat, it would be best to start the seeds inside and transfer the seedlings to the greenhouse when they are ready to be hardened off.

I agree.
Tay Tay, have you seen the forecast for the coming week. We are going to be near freezing here in SE Michigan.

Yes I did Big Bill . I did start all my plants inside , I guess I should have been a little clearer on my question. Would you use the green house now or wait to transplant ? Since your so close to me you would probably have a good idea.

I would wait until this cold snap passes. Why risk it when you have come this far?
