What kind of soil do I need to get for a raised vegetable garden bed? I don't want to spend too much but I won't to get the right soil. Also, do I need to mix anything with it.

You can use miracle gro for veggies. I don't know how big your plot is.

You can also ask your nearby rock quarry (dump). They have good dirt at wholesale price $85 per cu yd. But you have to buy bigger quantities. One cu yd = 27 cu ft.

I would grab a miracle gro all purpose plant food. The one that is blue and you can mix with water.

I don't know the dimensions of your veggie plot. Plants are not so finicky with which type of good soil you use. Good soil with nutrients, is just that to plants. They get finicky with water, temps, pests, and sun light.

Good luck and happy gardening!
