We have a tree, presumably, growing in a sunny spot that we have no clue what it is. It was first just one stalk that propped up out of the ground - about 2 or 3ft tall - and I thought it might just be a weed. Luckily, I left it and then moved it in case it would continue to grow and now has become a small tree with a few small pink buds at the top.

See attached image as I have yet to identify what this is.

Welcome!

Its hard to see details of leaves, trunk and flowers but it looks like a Purple Flowering Plum tree.
Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and proclaiming...."WOW What a Ride!!" -Mark Frost
