Hi!

So my wife and I are trying to get some fence planter boxes started. We planted last weekend (see pictures below- the one with all three plants is the day we planted). We used a bag of Miracle Gro. Since the weather has been fluctuating greatly in NJ, we have kept them inside and some times moving them outside when it was warmer. After about only a week the plants don't seem to be thriving... quite the opposite, they seem to be dying already (see the pictures with the individual planter boxes). Any suggestions what is going on? We are totally new at this and spent a bunch of money on these and really hoping it wasn't a waste. Help please!

Welcome!

They look good. Remember to keep them watered (check to make sure ALL the plants are getting watered). Is there a liner in the baskets to keep the water from flowing out the sides? If not, they will lose water much more quickly.

They could use more sun but, that has to do with keeping them inside where they aren't getting as much sun as they would like.

They look really good to me, also. Kudos to your design! Remember, when you planted these, you shocked the plants. They will need some time to recover. Just heed Daisy's advice. Potted plants crowded together in the containers in outside locations can dry out very fast, be sure to check for water needs.
Yesterday is gone. Tomorrow has not yet come. We have only today. Let us begin.
