Welcome to the forum. Would love to see more of your irises and the crosses you are making. Show us your garden space. Especially more of the cross at the beginning of this thread; would love to see more of the throat area (around the beard) from a top down perspective. It looks very cool. Where in Kanagawa-Ken are you situated?

Thanks for your replys.
Detailed images will be posted later.
It is an image of the second day after flowering.
Petals that are resistant to bad weather and the standards are large and rich,
but don't open and clunky.
That's a good thing.

The second picture is much better than the first. The first does show off the ruffles on the Falls much better, but the second gives a much better view of the entire flower. The form is nice. You have the start of lacing on the tops of the standards. I also think the throat of the Falls is very nice. I like that the veins don't go all the way to the edge and they are almost non-existent in the beard area (looks like a bow tie).

Great form and color Loosertora. I like standards that do not flare out. I love the rim on the falls. The lighter color sets off the rich royal purple. And just the right amount of ruffles. It looks like you have a winner. I tip my hat to you. Thanks for sharing your accomplishment here.

And welcome to the iris forum. Smiling

I have always wondered how iris are evaluated. You have provided a succinct example. Thank you.

Agree with other postings .. this is a beauty !

Have no name on this, but it was planted here by the former gardener [she left me nothing about what was out there .. 20 ft x 4 ft] - at least.
First year all I did was take photos, every day, front to back and side to side.

A huge learning curve .. that still goes on !

This was planted in the Garden Of Surprises ...
