Hi all

First time poster. We moved into our new house last autumn and the previous owner had a very thick blanket of thin grass.

With all of this great weather we've been having and the LD this spring, I've been paying some attention to the lawn and put down some wilko shady area grass seeds along with westland safelawn, which also has grass seeds. The wilko one contains red fescue, bentgrass and hard fescue. The westland I believe contains dwarf rye and some fescues.

The problem I'm having is that the lawn has many patches of a broad leafed grass which is very obvious when it grows.

Would this be the bentgrass or do I have a grass that has taken root?

Many thanks

Mow the grass shorter and more often and use a grass catcher to catch the weed seed from spreading.
NOT A EXPERT! Just a grow worm! I never met a plant I didn’t love.✌
