One of those days I will always remember unfortunately. If we don't watch it, I can see it happen again.
Prudence, indeed, will dictate that Governments long established should not be changed for light and transient causes; and accordingly all experience hath shewn, that mankind are more disposed to suffer, while evils are sufferable, than to right themselves by abolishing the forms to which they are accustomed.

I remember watching it on the news & thinking about the parents of those killed & the siblings, the grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, friends. So many lives affected.
I couldn't believe something like that happened. It was so shocking.

We must guard against this kind of thing happening again. We must learn from history.
I am a strong believer in the simple fact is that what matters in this life is how we treat others. I think that's what living is all about. Not what I've done in my life but how I've treated others. ~~ Sharon Brown

Odd that the book I'm copyediting mentioned the Kent State Massacre today, so these poor youngsters are on my mind all day. Appalling. I remember crying over that iconic Pulitzer Prize winning photo by John Filo of the girl screaming over a fallen young man.
The end is nothing, the journey is all.
