|I've done it. I finally hired somebody to come clean up our yards as we just bought our house in January and it has not been done in over five years and it's just too much for me, especially since I am literally brand new at this, and a stay at home mom of a one year old.
My question is, I have those guys coming today at noon and I'm not sure if I'm supposed to tip them. They gave me the price and I just planned on paying that… But I've been in customer service basically my whole life so I'm just wondering if I'm supposed to tip them? I googled it but there was not much there… If it's a one time yard cleanup, do I tip? Or what can I do to make them feel appreciated? We're tight on money but if I needed to tip I would… But if there was anything else I could do to make them feel appreciated I would take any ideas!

|Tipping is optional. However, consider that the workers are probably underpaid and out working in a more risky environment than normal. If you can afford to tip, I recommend it. Of course, make sure they do a decent job.
Offering a cold drink and treating them with dignity are always much appreciated.
