Hello all, I have been photographing wild flowers for past 6 yrs in Samos where I live, I came across something new today that I can't find a name or reference for anywhere. It was pushing out of rocky soil almost like a mushroom.
Thank you for any help in advance hope this finds you all well and safe.

Looks like it is possibly Cytinus ruber
Prudence, indeed, will dictate that Governments long established should not be changed for light and transient causes; and accordingly all experience hath shewn, that mankind are more disposed to suffer, while evils are sufferable, than to right themselves by abolishing the forms to which they are accustomed.
