Hi Radishgirl, can you upload a photo of the entire plant? It looks like a possible fungal issue to me. Has it possibly been subjected to cool temperatures and then rain? What type of soil is it potted in? Hoyas prefer small pots and they require warmth and a very loose, airy potting medium.

It does look like mildew. Cool temps and lack of air circulation are the biggest causes.

I brought it home about a week ago and put it in my bathroom under the skylight next to 2 other newly purchased Hoyas. I only notice 2 leaves that look like that. It's hard to tell what the soil looks like cause it's so full. Should I cut back the bad part and repot it? Maybe but it somewhere else. My bathroom can get a little cold (maybe 58/60°). It is right next to the shower so I'm sure it gets steamed or humidity from the shower. My other hoyas are a couple feet back from a south facing window and seem to really love it there.
