I got this Bauhinia madagascariensis as part of my Mother's Day gift. It came with buds but suffered some bud drop from the shipping and the acclimation process. I was afraid I wasn't going to get to see a flower...but MAN here it is! I was out there today with a friend, we were trading plants, and I turned around and it was just staring at me!

Wow, that is showy, what a nice mother's day gift. Would that be hardy in our zone?

I'm not sure but maybe not. It does make a small tree but is easy to keep containerized
