My fiancée got a dahlia to come back to life over the past year. While pulling weeds from the soil in the planter today, I somehow knocked the stem off at the root. I feel so terrible. Is there any way to save it again?

@pirl
Prudence, indeed, will dictate that Governments long established should not be changed for light and transient causes; and accordingly all experience hath shewn, that mankind are more disposed to suffer, while evils are sufferable, than to right themselves by abolishing the forms to which they are accustomed.

Thanks, Rj.

It should send up another shoot. Don't baby it, feed it, or do anything out of the ordinary. Let us know when you spot life!
