Hi everyone,

My name is Shane McKinney and I am trying to locate the daylily named after me by my grandfather James F McKinney who died in 1979. I still remember the hemerocallis society meetings that he would host at his house in Greenwell Springs, Louisiana. I'm writing to see if someone may have a clump of the plant? It would be a wonderful to have a plant as a constant reminder of my grandparents and childhood. Thank you.

Sincerely,

Shane McKinney

His name is still out there in the Horticulture world, but I can't find his flowers yet. I will keep looking and try to find a link or a source for your Grandfather's beautiful daylily. Maybe if you contact the hemerocallis society and ask an old member he or she could help you. He was a wonder man and a super horticulturist.
NOT A EXPERT! Just a grow worm! I never met a plant I didn’t love.✌
