I have a beautiful Mukdenia growing in my yard, but I don't know which variant or species it is. I bought some Mukdenia karasuba "Crimson Fans" (foreground) but they are clearly not the same. The leaves on my plant are a beautiful chartreuse green and not glossy. I don't think it turns bright red in the fall. Have looked everywhere online to no avail. Please help! Would love to get more!

Looks like the straight forward Mukdenia rossi.

Mukdenia rossi karasuba "Crimson Fans" is a cultivar that features more pronounced crimson red color in the leaf tips throughout summer. It may also be sold under the translated trade name of CRIMSON FANS.

Or it may still be Crimson Fans. The red manifestation on Crimson Fans is very variable, depending on growth conditions and weather. When you plant your new plants in the ground with the same conditions, they my turn out to be just like your original.

Thanks Rick, I did wonder about that. I might just plant them with the other and see what happens. It's such a great plant. Took me a few years to figure out what it was and there's relatively little info about them online. Glad to have figured it out!
