Hi, can anyone tell me what this large clump of leaves is? It has a long woody vine, and the big pom pom of leaves is growing on top of a photinia bush. Just trying to figure out whether this is something invasive that should be cut down, or something I should try to protect. The Photinia underneath is not in good shape anyway, so if the vine is something cool, I may a prioritize the vine over the photinia. It apparently likes full sun, since all the leaves are at the very top. Thanks in advance!

I think that you have a healthy Clematis terniflora (syn. Clematis maximowicziana, Clematis paniculata) - Sweet Autumn Clematis.
