My tree has small paw paws size of golf balls but they just drop off will this happen all the time if so should i cut it down. The flowers were female and this is first time with flower

Do not overcrop the tree by leaving too much fruit, because this stresses the tree, resulting in small fruit, reduced tree growth, and possible limb breakage. The plant can't support that much fruit so it aborts some of the load by dropping the fruit. Keep a hands length between the fruit for the biggest and best growth. .
