Hey guys. I am to receive some P. Gloriosum and P. Mamei bare root cuttings with 3-4 nodes each. I've done some digging around on this forum and on the Aroid forum. However I couldn't find anything on growing philodendrons from cuttings without leaves.

Can anyone help me out with what media I should be placing these cutting into when I first receive them? Is damp sphagnum moss all I need? Or should I place it straight into potting soil with perlite, charcoal and slow release fertiliser? Should I add orchid bark to it too?

Another question - is it true that one should use only coco coir, not sphagnum moss or peat moss in the potting mix because they hold on to too much water?

Thanks guys
