Hi ! My plum tree was badly attacked by greenfly about 4 weeks ago and practically every leaf has since become badly deformed and /or brown and crisp. However, there are loads of little fruit forming. One thing I have noticed is that there is a split just above ground level below the graft point. Would be very grateful for any advice ?

Hope this shows how the graft point looks a bit damaged. The shoots are crispy and brown pretty much all over ! Wondered if it would be worth pruning really hard and hoping for luck next year ?
