Hello, I am a new member. Location, Florida Panhandle
Panama City Beach, Florida. We just planted 2 crepe myrtle trees about 6 ft tall a couple of weeks ago. Just curious as to when we might see some blooms? Also included an image of the leaves at the end of the top branches and wondering if this is normal. Thanks much.

Yes, in a colored Crape Myrtle like pink and red, it is anthocyanin pigments within the plant that provide the color to the flowers. New shoots and new leaves are often reddish and as the leaves mature, they go all green.
I would look for buds starting in late June.

How are you going to learn if you don't ask questions?
Remember, the only stupid question in my mind is the one you never ask!!
