I am ashamed to say I neglected my peace lily and it has died.
I was heartbrokenly about to throw it away when I saw some tiny bright green little very thin stalks... (look closely at second and third pics)
can anyone please could you tell me whether these would be anything to do with the plant or something completely different in the soil? Could there be a chance for it?
If so, what should I do to nurture it? It used to be a glorious plant x

Welcome! I'm really sorry to tell you this, but what you're seeing are some kind of seedlings from seeds that have strayed into your pot. These are not the peace lily coming back to life. If you would like to try with a peace lily again and want to reuse the same pot, I would recommend dumping the dirt out and thoroughly scrubbing the pot. Replant with fresh soil.
