Hello, I'm a novice to gardening and I've had this cactus for a few years, it was really tiny when i got it.

It was in a smaller pot but become too heavy for it so i replanted it, it has been like this for a few months now and i thought it might have died until in the last 2 months i noticed two new growths on its side.

I'm unsure how to fix this.

Your cactus wants more light. It has the elongated stretched look that comes with growing in too little light. I am not sure you can fix its lean and if you could, that it would matter unless you improve the amount direct sunlight the cactus gets.

It looks like a Mammillaria of some sort.

Thank you for the information, i have made room elsewhere in the house where there is more light for it.

If i prop it up and allow it to grow with more light, could this fix the issue? Also it's not got any rot and it's got growth sprouts on the side of it, so it seems like its not dead anyway. Getting enough light in the UK is hard at times.

If it lets you stake it upright it is worth a shot.
