Plant ID forum→any clue what this is?

I thought it was just a weed and was pulling it out of a container. When I pulled it practically pulled all the soil out. Turns out there's a network of tons of bulbs attached. My plant id app thinks it's rush but 1. I've not planted that and 2. Didn't think rush was a bulb plant.

I've really only planted flowers but have no clue what this could be. Please help!

Do you recall what flowers you've planted in that area in the past? The stems do resemble those of Common Rush (Juncus effusus) but if it's growing from bulbs, I don't think it's Juncus. A photo of the bulbs might help with identifying.

The roots don't look to me to be coming from the bulbs. (?) Could they be separate plants?

I'll go back and look again tomorrow (it's nearly end of day). Even if the bulbs aren't linked to the plant... no clue what they are! I think the only bulbs I planted were freesia.

Those do look like Freesia bulbs.
The grassy plant in question looks like Juncas, as was said earlier.
