What is the best in container or growing media for Pseudobombax Elipticum ?

I have not grown that, but typically if my plant is a caudex former I plant them in very well draining, gritty media, in a container not too big or too deep for it and always a container with drain holes. So if it were mine, I would have it in cacti mix with pumice layer at the base to protect the caudex.
