Hi there,

EDIT: I have realized the white fuzz was mealy bugs and wiped them off with a cotton swab and alcohol. I'm guessing they may be the cause of my plants 'scars'?

I have had this jade plant for 2 years. It has recently been developing these brown striations, they look like little scars, but it has been sitting on my windowsill and hasn't been in any sort of traumatic situation. Can someone tell me what this is and if it's normal? When I look it up online the best answer I find is that I'm overwatering but I'm not sure if that's true. I also noticed these white fuzzy growths at the base of some of the leaves. I usually have just wiped it off, but am now wondering if it's also a problem I need to tend to. Please help! I keep this jade in a South facing kitchen window.

Welcome!

Its good you caught the mealybugs. Keep looking as they will be back.

The rest is probably edema and it is caused by overwatering. Even in a south window, your Jade isn't getting quite enough light. Ease back on the watering and see if things improve. The injured leaves will not get better so you will have to look for new damage.
