Hard to see, has a brown seed-shaped bud at the top. The "globe" pattern I haven't seen before. Less than 1 inch tall.

Pine Seedling! Super cool. Thank you for the response! Oh, and the "seed-shaped bud" did fall off, and was in fact the seed covering.

That is a pine seedling. The "seed-shaped" thing on top is the actual seed covering and it will fall off very soon.
